The PACAP Coordinating Council Met in Surigao City

The PACAP Coordinating Council (PCC) headed by Mr. Angus Macdonald, the Counselor of Philippines-Australia Development Cooperation Program and Mr. David Swete Kelly, the PACAP Program Director arrived in Surigao City Airport Terminal last Saturday, May 20, 2006. Along with Mr. Macdonald and Mr. Kelly are the members of the PCC and PACAP Key Personnel. The PCC conducted its short program at Boardroom in Hotel Tavern around 11:30 in the morning facilitated by Ms. Lourdes Padilla the PACAP Program Coordinator.
On the short program, Mr. Art Cruje, PPDC and PSC Chairperson welcome the members of the PCC and PSC. He provided short background of the province and highlighted the approved project by AusAID-PACAP. These are the following FOCAS and RAS projects in Surigao del Norte:

The PACAP Program Director Mr. Kelly sent messages to the PCC and PSC and gave message of thanks to the worthwhile contribution made by Mr. MacDonald being the Counselor of PACAP. A photo souvenir and a plaque of appreciation were presented to Mr. MacDonald. Counselor MacDonald who unexpected received the souvenir and plaque of appreciation happily shared his momentous experience in PACAP.

After the short-lived program, the exclusive PCC meeting followed. Interview of the FOCAS Chairpersons by the PCC was held at about 4:00 in the afternoon.
